Rain Forest Discovery Day

My little mister loves learning about rain forests, and wild animals. He just recently found one of his lost rain forest books. So, to spice up our day I decided after our usual math routine, we'd explore the rain forest.

We read about the rain forest, gathered all the rain forest animals we could find around the toy room, and then built a rain forest terrarium. The kids really enjoyed it; and it was a fun school day.

Here's a link to our terrarium inspiration/directions.

(not sure that forest dvd is gonna fit the bill, but its all the library had today)

I planted the plant (fern) and then the kids added the rain :)

I found a cool rain forest word search for mister to get some extra reading, phonics, and thinking skills in for the day :)

That is really cool! Looks like so much fun - and Isaiah wanted to get in on it too and the one profile pic of Noah looks SO MUCH like Ray!
